The Bailey’s Fine Jewelry store in Rocky Mount has donated more than $4,000 to the community so far this year through its A Time to Give program.

Through the program, Bailey’s provides replacement watch batteries for free, asking in return that customers make a contribution to a charity chosen for that month. This month, the store is collecting for Special Olympics North Carolina.

Previous beneficiaries have included Nash Community College, Tar River Missions Clinic, Boys & Girls Club of Nash/Edgecombe Counties, Tri-County Industries, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Edgecombe-Nash Humane Society, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the Rocky Mount Soup Kitchen.

The Rocky Mount store’s goal for the year is $10,000.

Bailey’s was founded in 1948. It also has stores in Raleigh and Greenville. For information, call 866-725-3111 or go to baileybox.com.
