glad there's enuff water to canoe. agree with you, that is one 'local' thing to be used and worthwhile. City needs to help provide more 'local' things.. which they are doing.. and public needs to use them. the river? a great little trip. i've done it before with friends. what else?? how about Battle Park.. again. Whatever happened to the Capitol Group that wanted to develop the mill site (Falls Rd) ... and was rumoured to be interested in also taking control of Battle Park as part of a grand design for that area??? would be an improvement. the park in present form is not used as much as could be... difficult for families to go like they did years ago... and even more difficult for single people... so, maybe the city can work on 'redeveloping' that area or letting the business group take control of battle park along with the mill site and give us a park/centerpiece worth bragging about.
