Our leaders and our Bible tell us we are facing the worst days; yet the best days in the history of our Christianity are here. You find supernatural hope from God’s word, “They cry unto the Lord in their trouble and he saveth them out of their distress. He sent his word and healed them and delivered them out of their destructions.” (Psalms 107:19,20)
Many of us use our Bibles to stuff clippings, announcements, programs, cards, poems and secular and bad reports. All have negative seasons among the good in our lives, but it’s time to empty those stuff-filled Bibles and read the positive.
The church itself is at its peak for growth. God comes through his word; so take time to read it.
Peter preached the first message of the early church, and 3,000 responded. Some 10,000-plus respond today, even in these chaotic times. It is our best day to be “the church.” Are you reading the God news or the bad news?
While electronics and travels are at their peak, we see the awesome uniqueness of our day. Possibilities in revivals in the United States and around the world are beyond our expectations. Give and give more to your home church and to missions. Let your dollars reach the “guttermost” and uttermost parts of the world.
If you are seeing the potential possibilities of this hour for winning the lost, people who have never heard the gospel, or even your own family members, now is the time!
If we don’t use this time for reaching our population, we could be facing the greatest failure in the history of the church.
Be positive; cry out more to God for this world and your families. Bartimaeus, the blind man cried out (Mark 10:46-52). Your mouth lets the cry (desire) of your heart be heard, God created us to commune with him. If we ask not, we receive not (James 4:2).
Your mouth can bring life or death. In Matthew 17:20 we are told, “You can say the mountain (troubles) move and it will move.” Cry and talk to God with your mouth and see your faith come alive. Activate your faith. As blind Bartimaeus cried out, even his friends told him to “shut up,” but he cried the more knowing God (the Lord) was passing by. By faith he knew his mountain would move, and he would see! Are you willing to cry out for your mountains, your loved ones, the desires of your heart that’s favorable in God’s sight? Cry out! Talk to him.
Scripture” Psalms 19:6, 30; 34:15; 106:43,44; 107:18-20, 27, 28; 145:18.
Crying out to God is a form of worship. Worship! That’s what it’s all about anyway. How can you worship without crying out? Do it at home, church, on the way to work, play, wherever. You must cry out. Worship and see miracles come forth,
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.” (Psalms 34:15). God’s news not bad news! What will you speak out for?
Our country is in its darkest of times. Your positive prayers matter. Do not let your mouth speak negative. The enemy hears; he roars like a lion. But we are in the palm of the true and living God. Let him know it with your prayers now at the birthday of our wonderful God-founded USA. We serve a God of the good news.
