James “Cody” Barnhill, a rising senior at Rocky Mount Preparatory School, has taken the PSAT twice and the SAT once and has made three perfect scores on the verbal section of these tests.

Barnhill is an honor student and is considering applying to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Duke University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Richmond and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, among others. He is interested in studying physics.

Barnhill is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Barnhill of Nashville.
